Join us for an unforgettable weekend of living history as The Vikings of Middle England bring the Battle of Tettenhall to life - a lesser-known but pivotal clash that reshaped England’s future, which took place right here in the Smestow Valley.
Throughout the weekend, you can experience thrilling Viking vs Saxon battle re-enactments and hands-on historical activities for all ages, including coin striking, jewellery casting, candle making, runes and calligraphy, traditional games, household crafts, and armoury displays and more.Bring your family, your curiosity, and your sense of adventure as history comes alive this August at Wightwick Manor.
The TDCiC Project team will be there promoting our current bid and plans for funding to build a permanent record and celebration of Tettenhall's forgotten part in the beginning of England. see tdcic.org.uk
